Christian Virtues

Introduction

"Virtue" is an old word that many people today cannot even define. Yet without the right virtues, it is impossible to please God. That is all-important. But from our human perspective, another great benefit of the right virtues is that they make it possible to be happy.

Our authority on all matters of right and wrong is God's Word, which is full of clear teaching on the five key virtues we will study in these lessons. These five by no means exhaust our moral obligation, but they are fundamental to victorious Christian living.

This study of Christian virtues is the first volume in a projected series that will explore many other issues where a truly Biblical perspective is rapidly disappearing from today's world. Other volumes we hope to publish in this series, called Stepping-stones, will deal with Christian service, Christian separation, Christian family, and the Sermon on the Mount.
